The man who gave the world Spider Man, Black Panther, The Hulk, Dr Strange, and even The X-Men, Bronx raised Stan Lee, who attended DeWitt Clinton High School is dead at 95.
His career spans almost 80 years when he began as an assistant at Timely Comics in 1939 which would eventually become Marvel Comics by the 1960s.
Born Stanley Martin Lieber in 1922 in Manhattan, he made his debut into the comic world with Captain America in 1941 under the pen name Stan Lee.
Today, the comic book industry turned Hollywood movies is a billion dollar global industry thanks in large part to Lee’s dedication.
Rest in peace, Stan and thanks for the wonderful childhood memories!
