From The Bronx to Sydney, Breakdancer Will Sanchez Beats the Streets!

You can take the B-Boy outta the Bronx but you can’t take the Bronx outta the B-Boy! An adage that befits the enormously talented, skilled, rhythmic wonder that is William ‘Ill Will’ Sanchez, founder of the first ever breakdancing, tap dancing and comedy crew “Beat the Streets”! The crew, founded in the Sydney by the Bronx New York native is an original concept that combines the art of hip hop breakdance with the staccato injections of tap dance and topped off with an infectious comedic flow that has the audience enthralled from start to finish!

Join the Bronx Music Heritage Center in celebrating living legend, DJ Kool Herc at a block party at 1303 Louis Nine Boulevard.

The event is being hosted by Grandmaster Caz and curated by Rebel Diaz with a really dope line-up of Hip-Hop artists from the Bronx.

Join Us On Saturday For A Screening Of Style Wars II At The Bronx Documentary Center

30 years ago Henry Chalfant’s ground breaking documentary, ‘Style Wars’ was released and took the Bronx, graffiti culture as well as the relatively then nascent scene of Hip Hop across the world.

Now this Saturday, the Bronx Documentary Center will screen the sequel to the award-winning film which documents what has transpired since the cultural landmark original in the world of graffiti.
